Wednesday, 2 August: H2O Racing has confirmed that this year’s UIM H2O Nations Cup will take place in China.
Unpredictable and spectacular are the hallmarks of the UIM H2O Nations Cup, with the series embarking on its seventh season and returning to the People’s Republic of China and to Shanghai for the second time on 6-9 October, with the event taking place on Chongming Island’s Mingzhu Pearl Lake.
All teams run identical equipment with the emphasis on overall team participation and country success rather than that of individual driver ability and reward, with the series launched in Singapore’s magnificent Marina Bay in 2011.
The UAE is the most successful team in the series to date, winning in Singapore with Ahmed Al Hameli and Majed Al Mansoori, in Sharjah in 2012 with Mansoori and Rashed Al Tayer, Mohamed Al Mehairbi and Rashed Al Qemzi completing the hat-trick securing overall victory in Qatar and Abu Dhabi in 2013.
Team Belarus added their name in 2014 with Team Russia winning in 2015 and both events taking place in Qatar, Russia taking a second win last time out in Shanghai.
Teams and drivers competing in this year’s UIM H2O Nations Cup will be announced in the coming weeks.
