Tuesday, 4 March: Team UAE’s triumphant Nations Cup duo Rashed Al Qemzi and Mohamed Al Mehairbi were presented with their trophies by UIM President Dr. Raffaele Chiulli and H2O Racing Financial Director Casimiro di San Germano, during the fifth annual UIM Prize Giving Gala at the Salle des Etoiles in Monaco at the weekend.
Al Qemzi and Al Mehairbi had to come from behind to win but secured the UIM Nations Cup World Series for the UAE for a third consecutive year, after winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with Al Qemzi producing a virtuoso performance in both Qatar and Abu Dhabi, winning all four sprint races.
The duo from Abu Dhabi set out on the defence of their title at the Grand Prix of Qatar, 10-12 March.
