Wednesday, 4 December, ABU DHABI (UAE): Team UAE moved to the top of the Nations Cup Abu Dhabi Grand Prix points table following a superb start-to-finish win in race 1 by Rashed Al Qemzi, with teammate Mohamed Al Mehairbi finishing in fifth.
Norwegian’s Stian Slattedalen and Christian Carlsen produced their best team showing coming home in second and third to edge into second place in the GP points table ahead of Team Italy, Stefano Paoletti finishing fourth, his teammate Marco Gambi coming home in 11th place.
Nations Cup debutant Venezuelan Antonino Spitaleri completed the top six.
The result also moves the UAE to the top of the overall Nations Cup standings on 159 points ahead of Russia [135] and Saudia Arabia [130].
