Friday, 30 March, KHOR FAKKAN (Sharjah): Brazilian driver Lebos Chaguri is making good progress and on the road to recovery following his accident during yesterday’s qualifying session, but will remain in hospital for the next few days.
Lebos was taken to a local hospital in Khor Fakkan and later moved to the Al Zahra Hospital in Sharjah, where he is being kept under observation in the ICU. “Lebos is improving all the time. He is very alert and is more interested in his times from qualifying than anything else,” said Francesco De Boccard, H2O Racing’s medical director. “We will keep him closely monitored over the next few days, simply as a precaution to avoid any complications which can occur when someone has swallowed that amount of water and it enters the lungs.”
